Rescuing horses since 1998 in Florida, this 501(c)(3) community based charity of volunteers rehabilitate, retrain & re-home them. Some go on to provide therapeutic services for differently abled children & adults, camps, & lessons. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Rescued my first horse in 1968 and introduced to equine assisted therapy in 1994, it seems amazing that I had not embarked on this field before. In 1998 I quit my paying job to give 150% of myself to healing horses so they can heal humans. They heal me every day. Certified since 2000 as an English and Western riding instructor and as an IRD - Instructor for Riders with Disabilities by the Certified Horsemanship Association - CHA - and a certified equine Special Olympic Coach - driving horses since 2000 commercially and in shows -
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
100% safe - 100% insured - 2 year old helmets we provide THAT FIT required for all children under 18 when on the ground six feet or closer to horses - we teach "horsemanship" not just riding so someone has a clear understanding what it takes to own a horse!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
The Common Sense Ranch has ONE locale, however, we are mobile and can bring horses to any area for services. We would like to partner with Parks & Recreation to open our services up to the children of North Brevard.

4 - till 7 pm T/W/Th with Thursdays being "Horse Happy Hour" - bring carrots & apples for 25 horses and come spoil the HERD - other hours by appointment only!
