I am a Positive Reinforcement Private Dog Trainer.
My name is Mary Phillips and my mission is to help you and your dog enjoy many happy years together.
I am a dog lover first, and a dog trainer second. I know from first-hand experience the difference positive reinforcement dog training makes in the relationship between dog and owner. Without professional training it can sometimes be a frustrating relationship, but with an investment in good training a wonderful transformation will occur.
I am a graduate of Animal Behavior College where I earned my certification with Honors as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. My year long commitment to this program has provided me with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives. My BA in Psychology has provided me with the skills I need to communicate effectively with my human clients as well. My certification, education and life experience provide me the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.
I have been working with dogs and their owners for many years and there is nothing which satisfies me more than to see a happy, healthy dog and a happy, satisfied owner that knows how to effectively communicate with their dog.

How long have you been in business?
I have been in Business since 2011. I am a Certified with Honors Dog Trainer, Licensed and Bonded.
What is your primary product or service?
I am a Positive Reinforcement Private Dog Trainer. I come directly to your home to train your dog.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I become interested in becoming a dog trainer because I got a puppy in 2009 and wanted to provide her with the best training that I could. I wanted to use only positive methods. My last dog that I had, she was 13 when she passed, I got a dog trainer that used aversive training methods and my dog shut down. I did not want to make the same mistakes with my new puppy that I made listening to a trainer with old training out dated methods.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a Certified Dog Trainer with the education needed to humanely train your dog with the most up to date training methods. Unfortunately in the Dog Training Business there are no laws set up to make dog training a profession that is governed to make trainers have any education. So if you want to make sure you have a professional dog trainer make sure they have the education. Also, I have a BA in Psychology so this also helps me to communicate more effectively with my human clients.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I am a Private Dog Trainer. I come directly to your home so I do not have a place of business. Your place is my place of business. I plan to teach group classes one day but I have not found the place that is suitable and affordable enough to conduct classes.

What type of payments do you accept?
I accept credit cards and cash. I do not accept private checks.
Which areas do you service?
I serve all of Brevard County, FL. I have been known to travel to faraway places to privately train your dog for a fee.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I own my company and I am the trainer. When you hire my company I am the only one that will be coming to your home to train your dog. You work directly with me.
What are your hours of operation?
I am by appointment only.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Their dog and their life were changed forever because of my training skills. I also have been asked to go a very long way to train dogs. I was once told that it would be great to see me on TV as a dog trainer because I am so kind and gentle with dogs and I understand them and they respond well to me.

I have a Couple: 1. "He is your friend, your partner, your defender, Your Dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart.
